Attorney Lauren Winer-Beck attended the University of Connecticut and received a Paralegal Certificate in Legal Studies in 1994. She graduated Pine Manor College with a Bachelor of Arts in 1998. She attended Quinnipiac University School of Law and received a Juris Doctorate Degree in 2004. At Law School Attorney Winer-Beck received the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award for Computer and Internet Law. Attorney Winer-Beck was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in October of 2005.
Attorney Winer-Beck has practiced in the field of Personal Injury Law and Criminal Defense, first as a paralegal in 1994, and then as an attorney since 2005. Attorney Winer-Beck in her capacity as a paralegal and an attorney has handled hundreds of accident cases, criminal matters and most recently is involved with Mass Tort Litigation and Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect Cases. Attorney Winer-Beck has represented Plaintiff's in State Courts throughout Connecticut.
Attorney Winer-Beck worked as Assigned Counsel for the Habeas Corpus Unit with the State of Connecticut where she represents indigent clients in Habeas Corpus matters in Rockville, Connecticut.
Attorney Winer-Beck was invited (by invitation only) to join the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 of 2014 and is a member of the Mass Tort Litigation Section. Attorney Winer-Beck is presently a member of the American Association for Justice and serves on the Nursing Home Neglect and Abuse Section. Attorney Winer-Beck is a member of the Broward County Bar Association and its Elder Law Section in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Attorney Winer-Beck has been a member of SCORE through the Small Business Association where she advised aspiring Entrepreneurs in the preparation of business plans in building small businesses. Attorney Winer-Beck was also a member of the Greater Bridgeport Latino Network.
Attorney Winer-Beck is licensed to Practice Law in Federal Courts in Connecticut and New York City. Currently, Attorney Winer-Beck is member of the US Federal District Court in Connecticut, US Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York which includes New York City and White Plains, and the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York City.
