We had the pleasure of representing an  80 plus year old gem of a client who was a nurse for 50 years. Her landlord failed to repair the bathroom ceiling exposing our elderly client to great risk of water leakage in the bathroom. One night our client went to bathroom,after it had rained, and water was all over the bathroom floor due to the defective ceiling.  Our client fell on her back and had to spend several days in the hospital and thereafter had to be nursed back to health. The landlord's response to this incident was to threaten to raise her rent. We finally got justice for her with a settlement in the amount of $92,000.00
