Over the many years of practicing law one of the most important and often neglected areas is staying in touch with your clients on their cases. What that means to me is if a client calls and has a question about her case call her back be respectful of her time and issues. If there is something new that happens in their case call the client and tell them about it.
This doesn't mean having the client call every day. It means reasonable and practical communication so the client feels that you care and are working diligently on their case. Remember an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
