There are approximately 2500 new cases a year involving claims against Johnson and Johnson and Imerys involving use talcum powder which can cause ovarian cancer in women. 

Imerys, the manufacturer of the talcum powder which Johnson and Johnson uses in its baby powder products, filed bankruptcy but a settlement trust may be established dealing with ovarian cancer claims.

Johnson and Johnson is now under Federal criminal investigation by the government for its marketing of the talcum powder products.  There is also some indication on the way Johnson and Johnson is buying back some its stock that leads many to believe it is gearing up for a settlement of these ovarian cancer claims.
