A Jury in Gwinnett County Georgia awarded 16.2 Million dollars to a family of a child who was hit by a delivery van for Amazon Logistics and its delivery service partner Thompson and Carter Entities LLC, d/b/a Fly Fellow Logistics. The child was crossing the street on his electric bike when he was hit by the van suffering severe injuries to his leg and pelvis. The jury found that Amazon exercised so much control over its delivery partner Thompson and Carter that it created an employee/employer relationship between Amazon and the actual driver of the Van.
