The New York Law Journal recently reported that Monsanto(the maker of Roundup) owned by parent company Bayer AG filed several appeals because Monsanto lost a 289 million dollar verdict last year and an 80 million dollar verdict this year over its weed killer Roundup.

These two cases were filed in California. Though the initial verdicts that came in were astounding amounts the California judges in these cases reduced the 289 million dollar verdict to 78 million dollars  and the 80 million  dollar verdict to 25.3 million dollars.

The Plaintiffs in both these cases allege Roundup caused non-hodgkins lymphoma from use of the Roundup weed killer.
