Time management is so important because how we choose to spend our time determines much of what we accomplish in life. That is why it is so vital to have a plan for each day's objectives on set goals.
Ask yourself, what plan you have for the time you spend each day. How many hours do you work a day? How much time do you spend on household chores, like cooking, cleaning, the food shopping, family outings and hobbies etc. ?
How much time is spend on self-improvement i.e. improving work skills, job hunting skills, marketing skills or computer skills!
Do you ever make time for those important significant tasks or do you waste your time on non-productive none sense?(like most of us do). No one is telling you not to have fun, but to have balance and set priorities as to what goals you have and what is really important to your life.
Having a monthly planner can help organize every day by taking a little time even if its 5 minutes at night to plan for the following day. This can yield many benefits.
